Wow, Portland was boring
I feel like this is a shock because Indycar in Portland last year was one of the best races last season, with strategy, good on track battles, and a surprise winner, this year has some big shoes to fill and it did not.
The only big headline going into this weekend was Marcus Ericsson's re-signing with Andretti for the upcoming season. I feel that coming into the season his seat was definitely under threat from Denis Hauger, but after some very promising results and strong performances, he's earned his place back in the N° 27 Honda.

Much to the surprise of many, Felix Rosenqvist took pole position over Alex Palou, again showcasing the strong qualifying pace in the N° 60 Honda. Notable performances from qualifying came from Rinus VeeKay, who qualified 5th, and Kyffin Simpson, who made his second ever Firestone Fast 6 to qualify 6th.
The Race was a snoozer, with not much overtaking past the first stint.

Lundgaard, however, after an issue in qualifying led to him starting last, saw him slice through the field to the top 10 in the first stint, only for him to make up more positions throughout the race to finish P9.
Graham Rahal hit the wall on the exit of turn 12 on lap 7 to bring a brief caution out.
Sting Ray Robb made just about everyone mad as he abused the blue flag rules in Indycar and held up everyone that was chasing Palou to robb (see what I did there) us of an enjoying finish to a boring race.
Thats literally everything that happened, lets hope for a better race next week.
